Karen Smith Firebaugh
Director Client Services, Web Master
Karen has responsibility for client cash management and client account reconciliation and billing. She is responsible for making sure that every asset that is transferred into our care has a seamless transition between the former custodian to the new custodian, making certain that all cash, equities, and dividends are properly accounted for and transferred. In addition, she conducts in-house audits, produces customized reporting, and oversees client signed agreements.
Experience: Prior to joining the staff at Jonathan Smith & Co., Karen established FireDreams Web Design, an enterprise that designs, develops, and maintains custom websites. The Jsco website is one of Karen’s designs, which she maintains as part of her function here at Jsco.
Education and Affiliations: Karen did her undergraduate course work at Hollins University. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and holds a B.S. degree in Math with a concentration in Computer Science. She continued her education at Guilford Technical Community College in Internet Technologies. Karen served on the Board of Directors of Mission Ukraine Children’s Hope and is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts of America.
